Projects

The Kiwanis Club of Dillsburg strives to make a difference in the community helping and providing support where ever needed.  The members of the Dillsburg Kiwanis Club have a variety of projects with different organizations, and using different talents that gives each person a chance to work on a project and organization they love.  We are always looking for more chances to help or organization to work with.  Some of our current projects/ organizations we work with include:

Community Service:

• New Hope Ministries  (Including providing Christmas gifts, , school supplies, annual match, heating support, holiday food basket packing)
• Dillsburg public library
• National Night Out
• PNC Community Flower Garden
• Logan Park playground & upkeep
• Farmers Fair: marshaling, blueberry pie contest, band sponsorships, parade float, ice-cream scooping
• Tree Decorating & Tree Lighting
• Holiday Window Painting
• Baby Pickle Drop & New Year’s Eve Bingo
• Pickle Chase & Pickle Fest

Young Children Priority One:

• Reading at Head Start
• Nurse Family Partnership (mother’s day planting, hosting holiday party)
• Reach Out and Read Program
• Hugs for Heroes/Daddy Dolls
• Adopt a Daycare
• Keystone to Reading- preschool program (books donated to all local pre-school, child care centers)
• Read Around the World events – library, elementary school, preschools
• Caitlin’s Smiles
• Special Olympics Area M
• March of Dimes
• Children’s Miracle Network
