Service Leadership Programs

The Northern York County High School Key Club was chartered in 1993 becoming part of the world’s largest student run community service organization.  With support from advisor Susan Reinaman Key Club participates in various service events:

  • Participate in MiniThon
  • Adopt a highway road clean up
  • Work at Bethesda Mission

Builders Club was chartered at Northern York County Middle School in 2004 under the helm of advisor Jennifer Smith.   Builders Club focuses on building leaders through service to others.  Builders Club supports the local community by participating in service projects throughout the year including:

  • Trick or Treat for Unicef
  • Bingo at Elmcroft Senior Living Center
  • Working at New Hope Ministries
  • Creating kits for Caitlin’s Smiles
  • Serving meals at the Bethesda Mission

We proudly sponsor four K Kids clubs, teaching leadership and responsibility through service.  The  South Mountain K Kids was chartered in 2006 and is under the leadership of advisor Lisa Gifford.  In 2007 the Dillsburg Elementary School K Kids was chartered with advisor Emily Reed.  K Kids was formed at Northern Elementary School in 2014 with advisor Dana Thornbury. Wellsville Elementayr K-Kids was chartered with advisor Andy Rosewag in 2015.  K Kids activities include:

  • Make Crafts for Meals on Wheels
  • Planting and maintaining school gardens
  • Host a Pasta Dinner to raise money for the Dillsburg Library
  • Participate in National Child Grief Awareness day
  • Creating Kits for Caitlin’s Smiles
